Regulatory Database Management System Launched in Monrovia
A Regulatory Database Management System for the Liberia Electricity Regulatory Commission (LERC) was launched on March 27, 2024 in Monrovia, Liberia to help digitize LERC’s internal processes which will enable the Commission to improve operational efficiency, achieve higher productivity, and reduce turn-around times in business processes.
ERERA was reprresented by its Legal Expert, Mr. Oumar Bangoura and IT Support Officer, Mr. Adedoyin Adeoti, alongside representatives of the Presidency of Liberia, the Ministries of Mines and Energy, the Liberian Electricity Regulatory Commission, the Liberia Electricity Corporation as well as the African Development Bank (AfDB), among others.
The African Development Bank (AfDB) approved 255,000 US dollars in 2023 to support the establishment of the Regulatory Database Management System (RDBMS) at LERC.
