Working Meeting for the Organization of the Forum on Regional Regulation with ANARE-CI Côte D’ivoire
On November 7, 2024, a working meeting was held between ERERA and ANARE CI to formalize their partnership for organizing the 10th Forum on Regional Regulation, which will take place in Abidjan in 2025. The ERERA delegation, led by Chairman Kocou Laurent Tossou and Principal Legal Expert Mr. BANGOURA Oumar, met with ANARE CI’s leadership, including General Director Mr. Amidou TRAORE and other key officials. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the forum’s objectives, and logistics, and to establish a shared understanding of each party’s role in the preparation process.
During the meeting, both sides agreed on the dates for the forum, which will be held from July 7 to 11, 2025. The discussions also focused on aligning their expectations and identifying key challenges that need to be addressed for a successful event. Chairman Tossou thanked ANARE CI and the Ivorian authorities for their commitment to hosting the forum, highlighting the importance of their collaboration in the forum’s organization.
In addition, the possibility of involving the Energy Regulators Regional Association (ERRA) in the event was discussed. ERRA is an international network of independent energy regulators from Europe, Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and the United States, which could provide valuable expertise and support. The meeting marked a key step in formalizing the collaboration between ERERA and ANARE CI, ensuring that the planning for the forum would proceed smoothly and effectively in the coming months.
