ERERA will organize the second Regional Forum on the regulation of the electricity sector from November 22nd to 23rd at Belle Cote Hotel in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire.
This event is to be co-chaired by His Excellency Adama TOUNGARA, Minister of Mines, Petrol and Energy of Côte d’Ivoire and His Excellency James Victor GBEHO, President of ECOWAS Commission. Its main objectives are:
Updating the roadmap of ERERA
- Adoption of the Regulation on the Consultative Committees
- Installation of ERERA’s Regulators and Operators committees
- Sharing of conclusions and recommendations of the update of the ECOWAS revised Master Plan for the generation and transmission of electricity
The Forum brings together the actors in the electricity sector of the member states of ECOWAS, namely: the representatives of the Ministries in charge of energy, the national regulatory authorities, the electricity utilities, allied regional and international institutions and development partners.
